Ugly Betty actor Alan Dale and model Kelly Brook are to bring together the mould of ITV1's Moving Wallpaper, it has been revealed.
The Australian actor - in one case renowned for his function as Jim Robinson in Neighbours simply now far-famed for parts in The OC, 24 and The West Wing - will play one of the stars of a fictional project created by Jonathan Pope (Ben Miller), the main quality of Moving Wallpaper.
And Brook, 28, testament feature as Dale's co-star in Renaissance, a one-off drama produced by the fictional Pope, which will be beam in early 2009.
Moving Wallpaper, a lampoon sitcom about the making of a soap opera, was launched on ITV1 last year and was received well by critics and audiences alike.
But while the satire flourished, the soap in question - Echo Beach, starring Martine McCutcheon and Jason Donovan - was axed after attracting poor viewing figures.
The new series of Moving Wallpaper will see Pope nervously awaiting a decision on his fate from ITV1's head of continuing drama simply embarking on the production of a pilot dramatic event, due to a article in his contract.
And his creation Renaissance will Dale as a family man returning from a holiday abroad when his sheet is attacked by zombies, entwining his future with that of fellow passenger Samantha (Brook).
Both Renaissance and the new series of Moving Wallpaper will stumble the cRT screen next year.
